St. Anthony Stewardship through Special Collections

St. Anthony parishioners demonstrated stewardship beyond our Parish and local community through many special collections throughout the year.

4 Collections per Year "The Criterion" Collections to support�"The Criterion", the official, weekly publication of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
4 Collections per Year Conventual Friars of Our Lady of Consolation Collections to support the Conventual Friars of Our Lady of Consolation Province Missions and Seminaries.
Summer Mission Priests Collection to support our annual visiting missionary Priest's mission work.
Summer Mission Sisters Collection to support our annual visiting sister's mission work.
October Tithe Sunday October is Pro-Life month and to witness to the sacredness of human life and our parish commitment to stewardship,�10% of weekend collections will be given to St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities in New Albany.
October World Mission Sunday Annual appeal to support World Mission Sunday, as a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church's missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice.
November Campaign for Human Development Annual appeal to address the root cause of poverty in America through promotion and support of community-controlled, self-help organizations and transformative education.
December Retirement Fund for Religious Annual appeal to provide grants to religious institutes for the retirement needs of senior religious priests, brothers, and sisters. The fund also helps religious institutes plan and manage their retirement needs and programs.
January Propagation of the Faith Sunday Annual appeal that supports the Society of the Propagation of the Faith who provides ongoing support for the pastoral and evangelizing programs of the Catholic Church in Africa, Asia, the islands of the pacific and remote regions of Latin America.
February Black and Indian Missions Annual appeal to fund grants given to dioceses throughout the United States, supporting and strengthening evangelization programs for Blacks and Indians which otherwise would cease.
March Aid to Church in Eastern Europe Annual appeal to meet the needs of rebuilding the Church: training seminarians and lay leaders, supporting social service programs, youth ministry, pastoral and catechetical centers, schools, church construction and renovation, and evangelization through Catholic mass media.
March Catholic Relief Services Annual appeal to provide funding for Catholic Relief Services; USCCB Office of International Justice and Peace, Migration and Refugee Services, and Pastoral Care for Migrants and Refugees; relief work of the Holy Father; and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network.
April Holy Places Annual Good Friday appeal for support of the Holy Places, but above all for those pastoral, charitable, educational and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land for the welfare of their Christian brethren and of the local communities.
April Church in Africa While the church in Africa is growing, many still lack access to basic resources and pastoral care. The Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa supports pastoral projects that foster lasting peace and reconciliation in a continent often marked by division and tension.
April Catholic Home Missions Annual appeal to strengthen the Catholic Church in the United States and its territories in the Caribbean and the Pacific where resources are thin and priests are few. The appeal funds a wide range of pastoral services, including evangelization, religious education, the maintenance of mission parishes, the training of seminarians and lay ministers, and ministry with ethnic groups.

June Education of Future Archdiocesan Priests Annual appeal for the education of Archdiocesan Priests.
June Peter�s Pence (Works of the Holy Father) Annual appeal to enable the Holy Father to respond with emergency financial assistance to requests to aid the neediest throughout the world--those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters.
